Books, books, and more books
Now that I am officially done with having to get up early for work, I have to hit the books and catch up on all the stuff I was supposed to do over the summer. It’s funny to think about how I started my AP assignments back in June because I knew I probably wasn’t going to have time to finish, and here I am, making the same progress as June. I didn’t step outside of my house today, but it was strangely comforting. Perhaps it’s because aside from the time I was sick, I’m FINALLY getting some rest. Sort of. I fell asleep at 3 last night after trying vigorously to finish planning for Leadership Conference next week. The most productive thing I did today was finish the slideshow for VBS presentation and finish my first book of the summer, “Blue Like Jazz”, at the end of summer. I’m still taking some time shifting gears here. All in all, it feels like I have been tired from doing all this nonstop work. Yet at the same time I can’t recall a time where I felt exhausted. I think I’m finally learning and understanding what God has been trying to teach me all along. When I serve with the right attitude, although things don’t become easier, you certainly feel a lot better when God does miracles for you. To this day, I’m still wondering how I got past that first week of work. God does wonders for you even when you don’t even notice it, and I think that is absolutely mind-blowing.
We serve a funny God, but we also serve a God who knows what He’s doing.
